According to the information received, Santosh Yadav (42) son of Deshraj, a resident of Saran village of Moth police station area of Jhansi district, was recently posted as head constable in Amarhat police station of Kanpur Dehat. On Thursday, he was going from the police line to Amarhat police station in his private car to register his arrival. His car went out of control on the highway near Tiwaripurwa and collided with a loader moving ahead. The collision was so severe that the car crossed the divider and went into the other lane, where a high-speed trailer coming from the front hit the car directly. In this horrific collision, head constable Santosh Yadav died on the spot. On the other hand, the loader also overturned due to the collision with the car, due to which its driver Raki (28) resident of Lokman Mohal, Kanpur Nagar was seriously injured. The police reached the spot and took out the body of Santosh Yadav from the car and the injured loader driver was first referred to the Medical College and then to Hallet Hospital. As soon as the information of the accident was received, the relatives of the deceased reached the mortuary late at night. Wife Deepa Yadav, daughter Jyoti and son Vishnu were crying inconsolably. Family members said that Santosh was selected for the post of constable in 2006 and currently he was working as head constable in Amrahat police station. CO Akbarpur Sanjay Verma said that the postmortem of the body is being done and the trailer involved in the accident is being searched. A detailed investigation is being done on the causes of the accident. Police is investigating the matter seriously.
