In Shastri Nagar Colony, Dalit woman Manju Devi Gautam was beaten up by goons. The victim has demanded action against the goons in Kakadev police station. A case of beating up a Dalit woman due to enmity by goons Ashok Sharma and his wife Seetu, some unknown people, who were occupying the roof of the colony in Shastri Nagar area of Kakadev police station, has come to light. The victim has filed a complaint in Kakadev police station against Ashok Sharma and his wife, Om Pathak, Kaushalendra Mishra, Murari Mishra and unknown people, accusing them of beating her and has demanded action. On Saturday afternoon at around 3 o’clock, Dalit woman Manju Gautam, resident of Shastri Nagar Colony, had gone to her roof. It is alleged that during this time, goon Ashok Sharma came with his wife and the above mentioned people and started saying that you will not stop coming to your roof, after which those people abused her using casteist slurs, slapped her and beat her and threatened to kill her. The Dalit woman has filed a complaint in Kakadev police station against Ashok Sharma and his wife Seetu, along with some named and unknown persons, accusing them of caste-specific abuse and assault, and has demanded action.
