There was a stir in village Baliapur of Thana Mangalpur area when after a minor altercation, a youth sitting near the Panchayat house was attacked and several rounds of firing took place. Victim Ajay Singh son Raghuveer Singh resident Baliapur told in the report lodged in the police station that he was sitting near the Panchayat house at around 6:30 pm on Saturday evening. Ravi Shankar resident Dhanjupurwa was already present there and was drinking cold drink. When Ravi Shankar asked to share the cold drink, Ajay Singh refused to drink the opponent’s cold drink. On this, there was an altercation between the two. After the altercation, it is alleged that Ravi Shankar called his brothers Subhi Kumar, Jeetu, father Kishan Singh and an unknown person to the spot. All of them reached the Panchayat house with sticks and illegal weapons in their hands and together abused Ajay Singh and beat him up badly. According to the victim, during this time Jeetu also fired from a pistol with the intention of killing. Fortunately, the bullet did not hit anyone. Hearing the gunshot, the nearby villagers reached the spot, then the attackers fled. While running away, the accused also threatened to kill. The injured Ajay Singh informed the police about the incident, after which the police registered a case and started investigation. On the complaint of the victim, the police have registered a case against Ravi Shankar, Subhi Kumar, Jeetu, Kishan Singh and an unknown person under serious sections and started action. At the same time, the accused party has called all the accused baseless. In the case, Mangalpur police station in-charge Dhirendra Singh said that after a minor altercation in an old rivalry, a dispute and firing has come to the fore. On the complaint of the victim, a report has been registered and efforts are being made to investigate the matter and arrest the accused.
