By Jignesh Acharya: Gadhshisha (Date Mandvi), Date 16: Thus, the saffron mango of Kutch has become a source of income not only in the whole of Gujarat-India but also across the seven seas due to its unique quality and taste, but for the last four-five years, the farmers are suffering from the problem of low production due to climatic conditions. Especially in Kutch, some villages of Mau, Ratnapar, Devpar (Gadh), Danana, Vesalpar, Khirsara, Rajpar, Virani Nani, Vadva-Kanya, Dujapar and Anjar talukas of Gadhshisha panthak and some villages of Mundra, Bhuj area have produced very well due to the suitable land and water, and mangoes of better quality than the saffron mango of Gir-Talala have reached the market and the people’s taste. Meanwhile, the farmer leader Moolchandbhai Devji Nisar (Shah) (Budhiya Seth) and his sons Vimalbhai Nisar and Dhirenbhai Nisar of Devpar (Gadh) village of Gadhshisha panthak, who have planted saffron mango on a primary and experimental basis in Kutch, have succeeded in planting a total of 30 other mango varieties along with saffron mango. When I recently visited their farm, after planting the `Miyazaki’ variety of mango grown in Japan, their fruits have also borne fruit and their quality is somewhat different. The price of this red-colored mango is Rs. One lakh fifty thousand to Rs. Two lakh seventy five thousand per kg. Actually, this figure is correct, which has also been confirmed, which is also known as `Surya ka Anda’ and this variety has been found to be from Japan. At the same time, Noorjaha mangoes from West Bengal have also been seen in his farm, which weigh about 3 kilograms. He has planted 30 different varieties of mangoes on his farm like Hafus, Ladwa, Gulab Khas, Totapuri, ATM (All Time Mango), Langdo, Badam, Sundari, Black Mango, Jamadar, Vanraj, Mango 4 kg, Jumbo Kesar and has achieved success in some varieties. Thus, different varieties of mangoes are currently being planted on an experimental basis and if they are successful, he is also considering planting more in the future, said Vimal Nisar. However, other farmers are also making farming not only farming but also commercialization and hobby by doing such successful experiments.
