On the complaint of the victim shopkeeper Lalchand Kesharwani, resident of Kumhiyawan, a case was registered against unknown miscreants in Mahevaghat police station. After the incident, the police and field unit team inspected the spot and intensified the campaign to search for the robbers. On the night of 18 and 19 July, Pipri police station police was checking suspicious vehicles. Then information was received that the criminals involved in the robbery of Kumhiyawan have fled towards this area. The arrested criminal has been identified as Dhanraj son of Nandlal, a resident of Karari. During police interrogation, he admitted that he, along with his maternal uncle’s son, had looted Rs 20,000 from a grocery shopkeeper in Kumhiyawan. Not only this, he also confessed to the incident of snatching Mangalsutra from a woman at Makhuppur Tiraha a month ago. Police recovered a 315 bore pistol, two live cartridges, two empty cartridges, looted money and a stolen bike from him. The injured criminal has been admitted to the district hospital Manjhanpur for treatment. The police team has secured the crime scene and called the field unit and collected necessary evidence.
