A horrific fire broke out in a chemical factory in Sangareddy district due to an explosion in the reactor. It is being claimed that many of the workers working in the vicinity were thrown 300 feet away. According to fire department and police officials, the workers were evacuated immediately after the incident, but it is possible that many workers are trapped in the fire area. The Fire Safety Department deployed about 15 vehicles and conducted a firefighting exercise. Efforts have been started to bring out the trapped workers. The possibility of a higher death toll was also expressed. The initial findings suggest that the accident occurred due to a disturbance in the reactor. Further investigation has been initiated in this regard. Fire and smoke reached the surrounding buildings. Nearby buildings were damaged. People complained of difficulty in breathing, so the entire area is being evacuated.
