Fatehpur- The weather became pleasant due to the rain after many days. People got relief from the humid heat, while on the other hand, waterlogging was seen in many places in the city due to the rain. Seeing the pleasant weather, the faces of the farmers blossomed with joy and the work of planting paddy crop started gaining momentum. After many days, the rain started on Wednesday night and continued intermittently throughout the day on Thursday. The rain gave relief to the people from the humid heat. The same rain also created problems for the people living in densely populated areas and lower areas. Due to lack of proper drainage of water in the lower areas, waterlogging situation is created every year, due to which the people living in these areas have to face problems. The road in front of Sadashiv Palace, the road from Arya Samaj to Thakur Dariyav Singh, Laxmi Talkies GT Road, Rani Colony Awas Vikas Road etc. get waterlogged even with a light rain, due to which people face challenges in crossing these roads long after the rain has stopped. The faces of the farmers have also started to look cheerful due to the heavy rain. Seeing sufficient water in the fields for the paddy crop and the favorable environment for farming, the farmers are hopeful of a better crop and their wishes are being fulfilled.
