A grand procession of Lord Jagannath was taken out at Vardhman Nagar, Galpadar, in the taluka, in which a large number of devotees were present. Jai Jagannath Seva Trust has been taking out a traditional procession of Lord Jagannath every year since 2011. Preparations are underway to prepare the chariot for the Lord’s city procession. This morning, the procession of Lord Jagannath left Vardhman Nagar to the tune of music. At the beginning, District BJP President Dhavalbhai Acharya, Former State Minister Vasanbhai Ahir, Former Sudhrai President Tejash Seth, City BJP President Vijaybhai Parmar, Dhanjibhai Humbal, Former Kutch Police Chief Sagar Bagmar, Deputy Police Chief Mukesh Chaudhary and others took advantage of the darshan and drove the chariot forward. The chariot of the Lord passed through Rajvi Phatak, Rotary Circle, Oslo Crossroads and reached the main market of the city, Railway Colony. A service camp was also organized for the devotees along the route of the chariot. The chariot was welcomed with a shower of flowers. A large number of devotees joined to drive the chariot of the Lord forward. The main roads of the city echoed with the sound of Jai Jagannath. The Lord has been installed at the Railway Colony, Shiv Mandir. Programs including Sandhya Aarti, Mahaprasad will be held here for seven days. Prakash Singh, Shatrudhan Dalai, Daghadardas, Vikram Sampathi, Gunanidhi Palai and others of the organizing committee cooperated in the entire planning. The Rath Yatra was welcomed by leaders of the Kutch district Muslim community, Haji Juma Raima, Syed Anubapu, Hussain Agraria, Ittehadul Muslimin Hind National President Mohammad Agraria, Gandhidham Sunni Muslim Hit Rakshak Samiti President Shahnawaz Sheikh and others. Apart from this, the leaders wished the people of Kutch a happy new year. The Rath Yatra was also welcomed by Pradesh Congress leader Bharatbhai Solanki, Gandhidham Taluka Congress President Devendrasinh Jhala, Bakshpanch Morcha Chairman Laljibhai Sathwara, Arunbhai Halani, Valjibhai Maheshwari, and City General Secretary Latif Khalifa.
