High tension wires worth crores of rupees missing from poles

About 10 wires on 33 thousand high tension poles going to Gidaha sub station of Kaptanganj tehsil area have disappeared, regarding which the local people have given an application to the department and demanded action. In the year 2015, a new sub-center was established by the Samajwadi government at Gidaha Chakbairiya of Kaptanganj tehsil area for the consumers at a cost of Rs 332 lakh, in which 62 villages and about 50 thousand population were connected, which will supply electricity to these villages. Which became operational after being fully completed in the year 2017. Initially, the main supply of this sub-center was brought from Kasya to Gida via Ramkola Kaptanganj. But in the year 2023, it was closed citing technical problems. And the supply started being given by tapping from Kaptanganj feeder. Due to which two feeders started operating from the same highdel. Due to which the consumers of Kaptanganj and Gidha Chak Vairia have to face a lot of problems every year in summer due to feeder overloading. During this time, due to the closure of 33 thousand line wire going from Kasya to Gidha, with the connivance of the department, the thieves have made the wire disappear from the pole for about 10 kilometers from Chandrapur to Ramkola Kedia Petrol Pump. Kaptanganj BJP Mandal President Anand Mishra along with local people say that with the connivance of departmental employees and officers, the wire has been removed and stolen for several kilometers and made missing. Regarding which people have given a letter to the department as well as the Energy Minister and demanded action. The same Executive Engineer Durgesh Yadav said that the matter has come to notice and action will be taken on investigation.
