Among the various festivals in Indian Hindu culture, Chaturmas holds great importance. One of the festivals that falls under Chaturmas is the Hindola Festival. This unique festival of swinging the Lord is celebrated every year at BAPS Swaminarayan Hostel, Vidyanagar (APC). A decorated Hindola has been built by the youth of the hostel. On the one hand, the attitude towards the younger generation of today is chaotic, while on the other hand, the influence of BAPS Swaminarayan Hostel on the youth is how it instills devotional spirit in the youth and how the youth of the hostel have provided an excellent example of channeling their creative energies towards the path of service and devotion to attain the pleasure of God and the saints. It is worth mentioning that these youths of the hostel, along with their higher education careers, attain the approval of God and Guru by observing special rules of penance and fasting during Chaturmas.
