Hon’ble Chief Minister of Jharkhand Shri Hemant Soren laid the foundation stone of a 20 MTPD state-of-the-art milk powder plant at Medha Dairy in Hotwar, Ranchi on June 6, 2025. The Minister for Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperation, Government of Jharkhand, Smt. Shilpi Neha Tirke, MLA from Kanke Shri Suresh Baitha, Secretary, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperation Department Shri Abubakar Siddiqui, Chairman, NDDB Shri Meenesh Shah and other dignitaries were present on the occasion and added to the splendor. Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri launched Medha Ragi Laddu, Sudhan Organic Fertilizer and the Distributor App developed by NDDB. He virtually laid the foundation stone of a silage making plant powered by using fruit and vegetable waste at Mother Dairy in Nagri. Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri distributed cheques to women milk producers under Medha Lakshmi Yojana. Apart from this, Shri Hemant Soren also handed over cheques of additional price of milk paid by JMF. Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri said that Jharkhand State Cooperative Milk Producers Federation Ltd. (JMF), a unit managed by NDDB, has made significant progress in expanding its reach and influence. The milk powder plant to be set up by NDDB in the near future represents a model of collective development in line with the vision of self-reliant Jharkhand.
