‘If you touch even a single word of the Constitution…’, Congress President Kharge warns RSS

RSS General Secretary Dattatreya Hosbole recently spoke about removing the words socialism and secularism from the preamble of the Constitution. After this statement of Hosbole, political turmoil increased in the country. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge reacted strongly to this matter and said that if any word of the Constitution is touched, the Congress will strongly oppose it and will fight till the last breath. While talking to reporters in Bengaluru, Mallikarjun Kharge called Hosbole a supporter of Manusmriti. He said that he does not want to let the poor and weaker sections move forward. He wants to maintain the thousand-year-old system. That is why he does not like socialism, secularism and the main principles of the Constitution. This is not just Hosbole’s ideas, but the ideology of the entire RSS. Dattatreya Hosbole had said in a recent program that Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar did not put these words in the original preamble of the Constitution. These words were added during the Emergency, when fundamental rights were suspended in the country and Parliament was not functioning. Therefore, there should be a discussion again on whether these words should be kept in the preamble or not.
