In a major action, the Anti Corruption Team arrested 3 persons red handed while taking bribe. Three employees of Varanasi Development Authority have been arrested red handed while taking bribe. A case has been registered in Ramnagar police station and further action is being taken. Regarding the incident, it is being told that 50 thousand rupees were demanded in the name of installing tin sets. The matter was settled for 25 thousand rupees. The person had complained about this to the Anti Corruption Team. Ajay Kumar Gupta, a resident of Ramnagar, Varanasi, told that three sets were being constructed by taking rented land on Panchkoshi Marg of Ramnagar Durgakund, on which the employees of VDA were giving notice and were pressurizing to demolish if the map was not approved. Regarding this, I was called to the office to meet. When I went to meet, a demand of ₹ 50000 was made as bribe. In which Assistant Engineer Gaurav Singh, currently resident of Azamgarh Phulpur, Junior Engineer, currently resident of Mau and Associate Engineer Anas son of Iqbal, currently resident of Shivpur have been arrested.
