A joint military exercise ‘Shakti 2025’ between the armies of India and France will be held at La Cavalerie, France from June 18 to July 1, 2025. The Indian Army on Thursday (June 12, 2025) said that the aim of the exercise is to enhance the joint military capability of both the sides to conduct multi-domain operations. The Indian Army said in a post on X (formerly Twitter) that the 8th edition of Shakti, a joint military exercise between India and France, is scheduled to be held at LaCavalerie, France from June 18 to July 1, 2025. The Army further said, “The aim of the exercise is to enhance the joint military capability of both the sides to conduct multi-domain operations in a sub-conventional scenario.” Officials said that this joint exercise will help develop interoperability, harmony and camaraderie between the armies of the two nations. Through this exercise, the armies of both countries will be able to learn each other’s best practices and operational procedures, which will prove important for possible joint missions in the future.
