In the third match of the five-match Test series between India and England, the England team defeated the Indian team at the historic Lord’s ground. On the last day of the Lord’s Test match, England defeated India by 22 runs and with this took a 2-1 lead in the series. On the last day of this 5-day match, Team India needed to score 135 runs to win over England, while they had 6 wickets left. Team India was hoping from stars like KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant, but England sealed the defeat by taking 4 wickets in the first session itself. Now both the teams will clash in Manchester, where the fourth Test of the series will be played from July 23. *England beats India in thrilling Test* The match, which began on July 10 at Lord’s, saw a fierce contest on the first four days and there was an even competition between the two teams. This enthusiasm continued till the last day, where the outcome of the match was certain. After England’s second innings was all out for 192 runs, Team India was given a target of 193 runs to win. Team India had won while chasing a target only once in 1986 at this ground. In such a situation, there was a chance to repeat the 39-year-old history but it could not happen. *Star batsman remained a flop* By the end of the fourth day, Team India had lost 4 wickets, while only 58 runs were scored. From here, Team India’s victory looked difficult. However, all eyes were on KL Rahul, who returned unbeaten on 33 on the fourth day.
