India’s Suruchi Singh creates history, wins third consecutive gold medal in Shooting World Cup

Indian woman shooter Suruchi Inder Singh has created history by winning the gold medal with her brilliant performance in the Shooting World Cup final. This is her third consecutive gold medal in an individual event. Suruchi Singh has won the gold medal in the 10m air pistol final in the women’s category at the ISSF Munich World Cup by scoring 241.9. Due to her victory, there is an atmosphere of happiness in the entire country, including her native Haryana. 19-year-old Suruchi has completed a hat-trick of gold medals with a total of 241.9 points. She won the gold medal by defeating France’s Camille Jedrzejowski by just 0.2 in this final. While China’s Yao Qianxun won the bronze medal by finishing third with a total of 221.7 points. The Indian shooter was ahead in the final with an opening round of 52.1. She then lost her lead in the elimination round, but made a strong comeback in the last few shots to defeat France’s Camille. Earlier, Suruchi Singh finished second with 588 points in the qualification round of the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) Shooting World Cup (Rifle) on Friday and then clinched the gold medal in the final.
