IndiGo flight to Leh with 180 passengers suffers technical glitch, makes emergency landing in Delhi

IndiGo’s Delhi-Leh flight 6E 2006 had to make an emergency landing today, Thursday. The plane developed a technical fault moments after takeoff. Due to which the plane had to make an emergency landing. However, the flight landed safely at Delhi airport. There were 182 passengers on board the plane. All the passengers are safe. IndiGo issued an official statement after the emergency landing that the aircraft is undergoing necessary repairs before it can be put back into service. An alternative plane has been arranged to take the passengers to Leh. We regret the inconvenience caused to the customers and are committed to the safety and security of our passengers and crew. After the horrific accident of the Air India flight crash in Ahmedabad, news of flight faults is being received every day. On June 17, a total of seven Air India flights could not take off due to technical and other reasons. Air India’s flights from Delhi to Paris, London to Amritsar, San Francisco to Mumbai and Ahmedabad to London have been cancelled. Flights from San Francisco to Kolkata and Bengaluru to London were also cancelled. Most of the flights had technical glitches. Six of the cancelled flights were Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners. This model was the one that crashed in Ahmedabad.
