Kushinagar: 72 liters of illegal country liquor being taken to Bihar in a luxury car recovered, one arrested In a major action in the Taryasujan police station area of Kushinagar district, the police foiled an attempt to smuggle illegal country liquor. 8 boxes of illegal country liquor of ‘Bunty-Babli’ brand being taken to Bihar state in a luxury car have been recovered. Police have arrested a smuggler from the spot. Under the special campaign being run on the instructions of Superintendent of Police Santosh Kumar Mishra, this action was taken under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police Niveshak Katiyar and Area Officer Tamkuhiraj Rakesh Pratap Singh. The Taryasujan police team arrested Dhananjay Kumar, a resident of Rampur Bangra, who was taking liquor to Bihar in a Hyundai car (UP-32CU-3205). At the time of arrest, a total of 8 boxes (360 pouches, each 200 ml, total 72 liters) of country liquor were recovered from the car. During interrogation, the accused told that he buys liquor from Uttar Pradesh-Bihar border and sells it at high prices in Bihar. In this regard, a case has been registered at Taryasujan police station under FIR No. 238/2025 Section 60/72 Excise Act and further legal action is being taken. The police team included Inspector in charge Dhanveer Singh, outpost in charge Arvind Kumar and constable Deepak Singh.
