In Fatehpur, a seminar was organized at the Congress office Jwalaganj under the joint aegis of the District and City Congress on the birth anniversary of Shaheed Mangal Pandey, the father of the first freedom struggle, and his deeds were highlighted. District President Mahesh Dwivedi, who was presiding over the seminar, said that no amount of praise would be enough for the courage and wisdom of Shaheed Mangal Pandey. That day of 24 March 1857 is an important day in the Indian freedom movement, when the fight for independence began. Whose command was later taken over by the Congress and ultimately the country became independent. City President Mohd. Arif Gudda also remembered the martyrdom of Shaheed Mangal Pandey and said that he was a fearless, brave and cunning warrior. Who led the first freedom movement and gave a direction to the devotees for the freedom of the country. Senior leader Kaleem Ullah Siddiqui said that the spark of the freedom movement started by late Mangal Pandey from Calcutta led to rebellion in Meerut against the British officials and from there the intoxication of freedom spread in the country. Spokesperson Devi Prakash Dubey also highlighted the contribution of Shaheed Mangal Pandey in the freedom movement. Sheikh Ejaz Ahmed, Hidayat Ullah Khan, Salim Khan, Atul Paswan, Sunil Maurya, Akhand Pratap Singh, Arun Jaiswal, Shakeela Bano, Om Prakash Kori, Arif Ali, Usman Beg, Chaudhary Moin Rain, Naseem Ansari, Amin Ullah, Nafees, Akram Kale were also present in the seminar.
