Heavy Rain In Gujarat: After the unbearable storm, the eagerly awaited monsoon season has arrived in Gujarat with a bang. 4 inches were recorded in Botad in two hours from 2 to 4 am last night. While in the last 24 hours, 221 talukas in the state received heavy rain. Of which the highest rainfall was recorded in Gadhada at 14 inches, Palitana at 12 inches, Sehore at 11.6 inches, Botad at 11 inches, Umarala at 10.4 inches, Jesar at 11 inches, Mahuva at 9 inches and Rajula at 7 inches. Forecast for June 17 According to the Meteorological Department, the Meteorological Department has issued a red alert following extremely heavy rain with thunder in Junagadh and Gir Somnath districts in the state on June 17. While an orange alert has been issued for heavy rain in Porbandar, Rajkot, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Bharuch, Surat, Navsari, Valsad districts and a yellow alert has been issued for heavy rain with thunder in Devbhoomi Dwarka, Jamnagar, Anand, Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Tapi, Dang districts.
