Heavy rains have caused terrible devastation in Uttarakhand. After the landslides in several districts of the state, communication with the hilly areas has been lost. The Uttarakhand Meteorological Department has still predicted heavy rains for the next few days. The department has expressed the possibility of heavy rains in the capital Dehradun, Nainital, Bageshwar and Rudraprayag. According to the information of the Disaster Management Department of Uttarakhand, since June 1, there has been heavy rain so far, in which a total of 22 people have lost their lives and 11 people have been injured in various incidents. The department said that a total of 144 houses in the state have been completely destroyed or partially damaged. Many people have become homeless due to houses collapsing or being washed away in different areas in the rain. Communication with many villages and hilly areas has been lost, not only this, but the residents of the affected areas are still living in an atmosphere of fear. Most of the connectivity has been disrupted after heavy rains in Uttarakhand. Due to heavy rains and landslides, movement has come to a standstill on 133 roads due to debris falling on the roads. On the other hand, the state rescue team and the SDRF team are making all efforts for the safety of the people and to stabilize the situation. Currently, the work of removing debris from the roads is going on in full swing. The roads that have been closed include three national highways and eight state highways. While movement has also stopped on 40 roads under the Public Works Department.
