Kanpur, Parivartan Forum’s members enjoyed a get together and joyride in the metro from Kanpur Central to IIT. During this, the members motivated and made more and more people aware to adopt the metro through messages like ‘Metro Se Jao, Jam Hatao’ and ‘Dhuaan Nahi, Metro Chuno’. Kanpur Metro officials made the members of the organization aware about the features, functioning and world-class facilities of Kanpur Metro. Along with being environmental friendly, the route of Kanpur Metro connects important educational institutions, hospitals, offices, traffic spots and markets of the city. This gives relief to the people from traffic jams and increasing carbon footprint. As a Mass Rapid Transit System, the technology of carbon emission-free metro is environment friendly and is making a significant contribution to the protection of the environment. Metro’s National Common Mobility GoSmart Card also gives the benefit of 10 percent discount on each trip. There is also a facility of booking at low charges for events like birthday, anniversary, kitty party, get together etc. inside Kanpur Metro. Cultural and social activities, book fairs, educational tours etc. are regularly organized at the stations to interact with passengers. The members of the Parivartan Forum praised the rapid pace of civil construction work of the Metro and expressed gratitude for organizing the Joyride.
