In the sequence of organized special campaign of CRP and RPF to prevent the continuous incidents of theft at Kanpur Central Railway Station and to prevent smuggling of illegal drugs, under the able leadership of Inspector In Charge, GRP Station Kanpur Central Om Narayan Singh and Inspector In Charge of Post Kanpur Central Siddhnath Patidar, on 16/7/2025 at around 5:30 pm, near Harris Ganj bridge of Kanpur Central Railway Station, at a distance of about 30 – 35 meters, near the dirt road going towards the Tata Mill on the side of the railway track, during checking, an accused named Amit Kumar son Vedanand Yadav resident Ward No. 15, Village Shergarh, Police Station Gogri Jamalpur, District Kharia Bihar, age 21 years was arrested. The accused was interrogated on the spot and among the items seized, the accused had a total of 220 quarters of Officer Choice Original Whiskey of 180 ml each, 40 liters of English liquor and 45 beer cans of Ultra Prem Beer, 26 cans of Habits of 500 ml each, 5000 Bold Strong Beer 35 litres of 500 ml beer was recovered whose estimated cost is about 110000 rupees. The accused was waiting for the train going to Bihar with the above mentioned illegal liquor and beer. Like every day, the railway administration inspected all the stations, platforms, waiting rooms etc., at both the times and reached the railway track of Harris Ganj and caught the accused on the spot, on which necessary legal action is being taken.
