The 148th Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath is scheduled to start in Ahmedabad city on June 27. Before this, a water procession will be held on June 11. This water procession with elephants, bandwaja, flags, and bhajan groups will reach the Somnath Bhudar bank of the Sabarmati river from behind the temple at 8 am and Ganga Puja will be performed on the banks of the river. During this, the state Home Minister, Mayor and MLAs will be present. Preparations for which are going on in full swing in the temple premises. A grand water immersion ceremony of the Lord will be held In which, after the completion of the Ganga Puja ceremony from the Somnath Bhudar bank on the banks of the Sabarmati river, 108 urns will be filled with river water in the presence of the mahants and brought to the temple. While after the grand water immersion ceremony of the Lord, the Lord will be dressed in a royal robe. After that, Lord Jagannath, Balaram, and sister Subhadraji will go to their maternal uncle’s house.
