The QUAD countries, namely the US, India, Japan and Australia, in a joint statement on Wednesday condemned the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22. In this terrorist attack, terrorists brutally killed 26 innocent people. The foreign ministers of the Quad countries termed the incident as reprehensible. The joint statement of the Quad foreign ministers said, ‘The Quad condemns all forms of terrorism and violence, including cross-border terrorism. We condemn it in all its forms and express our commitment to cooperate in combating terrorism. We strongly condemn the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on April 22, 2025, in which 25 Indian citizens and one Nepali citizen were killed while many were injured.’ The statement said, ‘We express our condolences to the families of the victims and hope for a speedy and full recovery of all the injured. We demand that the perpetrators, organizers and financiers of this reprehensible act be brought to justice without any delay and call on all Member States of the United Nations to actively cooperate with all relevant authorities in this regard, in accordance with their obligations under international law and relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions.’
