Monsoon has become fully active across the country. On one hand, people have got relief from the heat, on the other hand, heavy rains have caused problems like waterlogging, traffic jams, landslides and floods. Its worst impact is being seen in Delhi-NCR, where the city roads turned into lakes after a few hours of rain. The situation was such that vehicles were seen floating on the roads in many areas. Apart from this, the situation is worrying in states like Uttarakhand, Himachal, Assam and Maharashtra. According to reports, heavy rains lashed many parts of Delhi and NCR on Wednesday (July 9) evening, due to which areas like Bharat Mandapam (Pragati Maidan), Jhilmil Underpass, Krishna Nagar, ITO, Outer Ring Road, Kalkaji, Ashram, Wazirabad, Akshardham and Mathura Road were heavily waterlogged. Roads turned into quagmires in many places. There was heavy traffic jam on RTR Road and NH-48. Delhi Traffic Police diverted traffic due to waterlogging at Zakhira Underpass and Road No. 40. Landslide situation remained unchanged on Chamoli and Badrinath Highway in Uttarakhand after heavy rains. Due to rain in Chamoli, stones are falling on Kameda Nandprayag and other slide zones, due to which passengers have been stopped at safe places. While in Rudraprayag, it has become difficult to travel on Badrinath Highway. About seven km from the district headquarters. Stones are raining from the hill near Narkota on Badrinath Highway. Due to which there is a jam on the highway for hours and apart from Char Dham pilgrims, local people are facing a lot of trouble.
