Demand to provide Aasra housing to the disabled, investigation of fraud in housing allotment, implementation of Disabled Persons Act 2016 Kanpur, Rashtriya Divyang Party today staged a strong protest at the District Magistrate’s office and submitted a memorandum. In the memorandum, it was demanded that houses be allotted to the eligible disabled persons under Aasra Awas Yojna in compliance with the orders of the Court of State Commissioner for Disabled Persons, Uttar Pradesh, strict action be taken against the culprits by conducting a high-level inquiry into the fraud in Aasra Awas Yojna allotment, compliance of the Disabled Persons Act 2016 be ensured in all the departments of Kanpur city, reports of harassment of disabled persons be easily registered in police stations, ramps be arranged in all government institutions including police stations, under the Ferry Policy, space and shops be allotted on squares, footpaths to provide employment to disabled persons, Antyodaya ration cards be made for poor disabled persons and they be given the benefits of ration and Ayushman Yojna, allotment of places to disabled persons in government ration shops under reservation quota, permit for auto-tempo be issued to provide employment to disabled persons, strict action be taken against those who drive auto, tempo, four and two-wheelers without driving licence, those who carry overloaded passengers and H Block Chauraha, Kidwai Nagar, Kanpur Nagar There is a demand not to close the pit dug by the Municipal Corporation at Shani Mandir Chauraha. National President of the party Virendra Kumar said that the District Magistrate was asked several times through a memorandum to fulfill the demands but the officials of the District Administration did not take any action. In the memorandum given on January 18, the Additional District Magistrate Nagar had written a letter to the concerned departments for action. Due to the indifference of the departments, no problem has been resolved till date. The District Administration is not sensitive towards employment, health, education and security of the disabled. Virendra Kumar said that in compliance with the order of the Court State Commissioner for Disabled Persons of Uttar Pradesh, houses have not been allotted to the eligible disabled persons of Aasra Housing Scheme Sajari till date. He said that fraud has been done in the allocation of Aasra housing. Houses have been allotted to healthy persons by showing them as disabled. Strict action should be taken against the culprits by conducting a high-level investigation into the corruption case. National President Virendra Kumar, District President Rahul Kumar, Women’s Front President Alpana Kumari, Anand Tiwari, Guddi Dixit, Arvind Singh, Vaibhav Dixit, Kamlesh Kumar, Gaurav Kumar, Ranjeet Kumar, Gomti Verma, Sarla, Sabara Khatoon, Kishan Awasthi, Johar Ali, etc. were present in today’s demonstration.
