Kanpur, Sheela Mishra, wife of late Ajay Mishra, resident of Maksudabad Tehsil Sadar, submitted application forms to District Magistrate Jitendra Pratap Singh in Janta Darshan and said that her name is Sheela in the Khatauni, whereas her full name is Sheela Mishra. Due to incomplete name, she is not getting the benefit of Kisan Samman Nidhi. She has met the Lekhpal several times in the last two years, but the Lekhpal is making her run unnecessarily to add Mishra in her name and is advising her to file a court case and due to poverty she is not able to do so. She pleaded to the DM for help. The DM immediately directed SDM Sadar Avichal Pratap Singh to take necessary action. Within just 24 hours, the Tehsil administration checked the records and corrected the name and added Mishra. Pleased with the quick relief, Sheela Mishra expressed her gratitude to the DM and SDM and said that now she will be able to get assistance from the Kisan Samman Nidhi. Divyang got possession of land, the strongmen were not allowing to do farming Shashi Bala, wife of Mahendra Pal Singh, resident of village Patara, Tehsil Ghatampur, told in a letter submitted to the District Magistrate that she is a disabled person. Her husband has retired from the army. He had purchased 1.612 hectares of land in the year 2023 by deed. The land is in various Gato. But some strongmen of the village are not allowing him to do farming on his land. Also, they are demanding extortion. On the instructions of the District Magistrate, a joint team of Revenue Department and Police under the leadership of Naib Tehsildar went to the spot and investigated the case in which it was found that in the revenue records, Shashi Bala’s name is recorded as a transferable landholder and on that basis, his possession of his land located in various Gato has been interfered with.
