Relief to farmers due to prompt action of administration on irrigation crisis in Vishunpura area The long-standing irrigation crisis in more than two dozen villages of Vishunpura development block had increased the problems of farmers. The main irrigation system of the area depends on Badhara Rajwaha and its minors, but due to lack of water in the canals, paddy crops started drying up. Farmers appealed to the irrigation department several times, but there was no hearing. Seeing the seriousness of the situation, District Magistrate Mahendra Singh Tanwar took cognizance of the matter and directed the irrigation department to take strict action. On Saturday, the department team reached the spot and started cleaning the head of the canal by installing a JCB machine. On the instructions of the DM, arrangements were also made to release water in the canal till late night. Two dozen villages including Belwa, Kukurha, Bhujouli, Sekhuai, Basdila, Nagari are irrigated from Badhara Rajwaha. Farmers have got relief from this prompt and effective action of the administration and they have breathed a sigh of relief.
