Samajwadi Party condemns police brutality in Sankarpur Bhadura Lakhimpur Kheri, 16 July 2025. A situation of chaos arose during the distribution of fertilizer at the Multipurpose Cooperative Society, Sankarpur Bhadura, located in Srinagar Assembly of the district. The police force present on the spot suddenly lathi-charged the farmers who had gathered in large numbers to get the fertilizer, causing chaos. Many women were also badly injured in this unprovoked police action. A woman named Rajkumari Verma and her son Raj Kishore Verma suffered serious injuries. As soon as the information about this incident was received, a delegation of Samajwadi Party immediately reached the spot. The delegation interacted with the affected villagers and heard their pain and inquired about the condition of the injured family members. Former MLA Ram Saran, SP District President Rampal Yadav, senior leader Sunil Kumar Lala, Vinay Tiwari, SP Lohia Vahini District President Yash Mohan Patel, Assembly Speaker Virendra Verma, General Secretary Kaushal Gupta, Sandeep Yadav, Bhupendra Yadav, Vikas Verma, Prabhat Gupta and a large number of Samajwadi workers were present in the delegation. Samajwadi Party has condemned this extremely inhuman police brutality in strong words and has demanded strict action against the guilty officers with immediate effect.
