The state’s Technical Education Minister visited and inspected the Government Engineering College. Instructed to complete the girls’ hostel in ten days. Mirzapur. Technical Education and Consumer Affairs Uttar Pradesh Minister Ashish Patel inspected the Government Engineering College during his visit to the district today. During the inspection, Cabinet Minister Ashish Patel visited the administrative building’s Admission Office Controller System Room, Finance Officers Room, Store Room, TP Office, as well as the academic building and inspected the classrooms, labs etc. During the inspection, the Hon’ble Minister visited and inspected the girls’ hostel under construction. During the inspection of the academic building, the Minister said that minor deficiencies should be completed within a week and finishing of all the rooms should be done so that the students do not face any inconvenience in the classes starting in the month of August. The Project Manager of the implementing agency was instructed to complete 100% of the work of the girls’ hostel within ten days. The project manager said that the hostel for 204 girl students is almost complete and will be made ready for living in ten days after finishing. Thereafter, the minister also inspected the boundary wall construction work towards Surekhapuram of the engineering college and directed to complete the boundary wall by speeding up the work. During the inspection, the Principal Engineering College said that as per the instructions of the Technical Education Minister, on 31 July 2025, the students of Sonbhadra Engineering College will be shifted from the college to Mirzapur Engineering College and as per the guidelines of the university, academic work will start in the Government Engineering College Mirzapur from 14 August. During the inspection, District President Apna Dal S Engineer Ram Lautan Bind, Project Manager C&DS along with the professors and staff of the college were present.
