The body of a newly married woman was found hanging from a noose, dowry murder suspected, under Tamkuhiraj police station area of Kushinagar district

There was a stir in the area when the body of a 24-year-old newly married woman was found hanging from a noose in Tola Manjharia village of Madhopur Bujurg under Tamkuhiraj police station area of Kushinagar district. The family has made serious allegations regarding the death of the woman and called it dowry murder. The deceased has been identified as a young woman from the village, who had a love marriage two years ago. The family alleges that the woman was constantly being harassed for dowry since the marriage. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and took the body into custody and sent it for postmortem. Also, considering the seriousness of the case, a person has been taken into custody and interrogation has been started. The police say that all aspects are being investigated and further action will be taken on the basis of the postmortem report and the allegations of the family. This tragic incident has once again brought to the fore the cruel face of the dowry system, due to which the society needs to be aware.
