There is an outcry among the farmers regarding fertilizer due to non-availability of fertilizer from dozens of cooperative societies of Padrauna development block. There is anger among the farmers regarding this. Due to shortage of urea, farmers under the cooperative societies of Barhaj Haraiya, Piprasi, Sakhwania, Kathkuiya, Harka Gulelha, etc. of the area are not able to spray fertilizer on crops. Farmers Umesh Mani, Triloki Gupta, Sanjay Tiwari, Pratap, Mahendra Singh, Ghulam Singh, Pankaj Kumar, Ajay Nath, Shriprakash Kushwaha, Genda Singh, Sunil Singh, Mahesh Sharma, Ziaul Haq, Bhupendra Singh, Rajkumar Singh, Durgesh Singh, etc. say that fertilizer has arrived at some societies. But due to the arbitrariness of the secretaries posted there, it is not being distributed. If sources are to be believed, some secretaries are selling it to private shopkeepers at higher prices in the dark of night. Farmers are visiting the societies every day for fertilizer. After standing in queues at the committees from morning to afternoon, farmers are returning empty handed. Farmers were standing in queue for urea at the cooperative society Sakhwania in the area from around 5 am. After around ten, the secretary posted there arrived for fertilizer distribution. After this, fertilizer distribution started.
