Indian Railways is now preparing to give a big relief on cancelled tickets. Currently, if a ticket is booked and it is appearing in the waiting list and after canceling it, a full refund is not available. The reason for this is that the railway clerk deducts a charge as a fee. This charge ranges from Rs 30 to Rs 60 according to different classes. This gives a double blow to the passengers. On the one hand, their ticket is not confirmed, on the other hand, the refund is not fully available. Now to save people from such a situation, the railways is thinking of eliminating this charge. If this happens, then if the waiting ticket of the passengers is not confirmed, then they will get a full refund. How much charge is there on canceling a ticket According to reports, there have been discussions for a long time regarding the charge on cancelled tickets. This charge ranges from Rs 30 to Rs 60 according to the class of the train. Passengers often complain that why does the railways charge for tickets which they do not cancel themselves and are cancelled due to being on the waiting list. Now a proposal to abolish this charge has been placed before the railway department, now this is being considered. Currently, a charge of Rs 30 is levied on a cancelled ticket of 2S class. The charge for sleeper class is Rs 60 and Rs 60 plus GST is levied on all others including 3rd AC.
