Android 16 Turns Mobile into Desktop: Google has launched the QPR1 Beta 2 version of Android 16. This version has connected display support, meaning users will now be able to use their mobile as a desktop. This feature was first tested at Google I/O 2025. Through this feature, users can connect their Android device to an external display, which can turn a small display into a large display. How will this feature work in Android 16? When an Android phone or foldable mobile is connected to an external display through the Display Port, a desktop session will start. The phone and the external display will perform different functions. For this, applications are adjusting their layout for the larger screen. Google aims to make Android devices more usable, so that more functionality can be achieved through mobiles through a larger display.
