Three important decisions have been taken in the cabinet meeting of the Modi government. One of them is in the interest of farmers. In which the cabinet meeting today approved the ‘PM Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana’ with an annual expenditure of Rs 24,000 crore. This will include 36 schemes. Also, the government has approved Rs 7,000 crore to NLCIL (NLC India Limited) for investment in green energy. In addition, after Shubhanshu Shukla’s space mission, India has taken another step towards building its own space station. In the Union Budget 2025-26, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced the ‘PM Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana’ to promote the agriculture sector, which has now received the approval of the cabinet. Under this scheme, agricultural districts will be developed. This scheme will target 100 districts with low productivity, low crop cultivation and below-average loan availability. This scheme will be implemented in a phased manner with a multi-pronged approach to modernize Indian agriculture. Under this scheme, focus will be on crop diversification, sustainable and climate-resilient farming. In addition, emphasis will be placed on increasing post-harvest storage capacity and improving technology.
